Home Automation

A home automation system will control Locks, Climate, Pool Heat systems, and other appliances. It may also include home security such as access control and alarm systems.

Presuming that you have already spoken with a Home Automation representative that currently connects to CiiRUS (e.g. Point Central), and have been given access code details, then please contact CiiRUS Support and ask to be put through to the “Channels Department” and they will help you to make the connection.

Using Automated Locks after Setup is complete (Point Central specific)

When making a booking for a property that has Home Automation enabled, the booking is automatically sent to Point Central and Point Central will send back the lock codes for that property.

Please note:

  • It could take up to an hour to receive the lock codes for new bookings.
  • A property will not show as being connected in the Point Central database, unless at least one (1) future booking has been added, so it would be good practice to add one (1) future TEST booking to initiate the connection.

Assigning the Lock code (Below is a diagram of the process)

Once you have received the Lock Code, it will be stored against the booking for use with notification emails, the CRM, and other reports. To view the Lock Code provided by your Home Automation Service Provider,

go to:  Reservations & Quoting > Bookings Manager

Modifying Check in / Check out Times

The Home Automation capabilities of CiiRUS can support changes to the reservations, provided this functionality is also supported by the connected home automation service provider. To alter check in / check out dates and times,

Go to: Reservations & Quoting > Bookings Manager, then:

  1. In the right panel and select the General tab.
  2. Expand the Arrival / Departure panel.
  3. Change Arrival / Departure Date and time.
  4. Make sure to Tick the Early Check in / Early Check out buttons if changing the check in/out times. Failing to do so will result in the account default check in/out times.
