Rate Sets (definition)
A Rate Set is a user definable set of rates that can be assigned to one or more properties. For example, you could define a set of rates for '3 bedroom standard' properties and assign this rate set to all 3 bedroom standard properties. These properties would all share the same date bands and rates. Another example is to assign individual rate sets for each property, so each property has its own date bands and rates.
Date Bands (definition)
A Date Band is a period of time for which a property rental rate is valid. For example, from 11/11/2012 to 12/31/2012 has the rate of $1000. The amount is the weekly amount for the rental. Shorter rentals that are less than one week can be specified from the menu:
Quotes Manager > Quote Settings > Short Stays / Cleaning / Other
The date bands may contain specific arrival and departure dates. If specific arrival and/or departure dates have been set. The availability calendars will highlight the allowed days of the week. The online booking system will only allow arrivals and departs for the permitted days.

Copy a Rate Set or Date range to another property
You can copy date ranges or entire date sets to other properties. This can save time if you have many properties. Note: Date range, copies only the date bands.
First, create a New Set and name your new set. Select if the new rate set will contain weekly, daily, or monthly rates and click Add.
- Quotes Manager > Edit Rates > Copy Rates > Select the Property that you are copying rates from
- Select to copy the Dates only or dates and amounts
- Click the Copy button
If the 'date range only' option was selected, then enter the amount of each corresponding date band.
How To Add Dates and Prices to Rate-Bands
1. At the bottom left of the Screen, click the Add Date Band Button.
2. Enter the start date and end date rage for the rate band.
3, Enter the Minimum night's stay for this time period.
4. Enter the daily rate  (it would display monthly or weekly if you had selected the other option).
5. Enter the nightly floor rate.
The Nightly Floor Rate is the default discounted rate you make available to your agents. However, it's also possible to create new rate sets for each or just some of your agents and assign a new rate set for each agent. The nightly floor rate is usually used as the default discount rate made available to most agents who do not require different rate band dates to be set.
Edit Rates
Rename Rate Set
Updates the selected rate set with a different name.
Calculate rate based on arrival date band only
When this is unchecked the rates will be calculated across multiple rate bands and the pricing assigned to dates within a date range will be used. For example if a two week reservation spans across two rate bands, the individual rates for the first rate band and the second rate band will be used to calculate the quote.
When checked the quote will be based on the arrival date rate band only. Subsequent rate bands are ignored.
Rates Include Tax
If the rates entered should include the tax, this box must be checked.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly Rates
You must specify how you will enter the rates for the entire rate set. The rates can be entered as Daily, Weekly or Monthly.
Note: the discounted floor rate must always be entered as daily rates even if the retail rate is weekly or monthly
Setting month days
You can specify the number of days for each month by setting the days value:
Class a month as how many days?
Use combined daily / Â weekly / monthly rates
When this feature is enabled (checked), the combined rates are used to calculate the quote. For example, if the quote is for 5 weeks and 2 days, the following will be used (assuming the default 28 days per month):
1 x monthly rate
1 x weekly rate
2 x daily rate
When the Combined Feature is checked, all the rate band columns are available and visible. The rates for all visible columns must be entered when using the combined rates mode.
