The FTP Account (default files and access)

On request Ciirus can make available access to the Client FTP account. The FTP folder (directory) contains important files to display the website and files used to configure the operation and the look and feel of the web site.

Contact Ciirus if you require FTP access to your account.

Note: Ciirus does not support any changes made to the FTP folder. This folder contains pre configured files. Requesting to reset any broken files is chargeable and all files will be reset to Ciirus default settings only.

Save the remote files locally before making any changes to the client FTP folder.

  • The client FTP folder is considered as the root folder
  • The relative path to the root folder is: /WebTemplates/FTP Account Folder Name/
  • Uploading an HTML file is not advised. the header, footer, banner and most Ciirus specific content will be ignored

Below are the features can can be set from the FTP folder.

Website Background Image

Menu background images (3 states normal, active and hover)

Add custom image players

Add Scripts (Ciirus will remove any scripts that may be considered inappropriate. this can include but not limited to scripts may cause the server to slow down or external or unauthorized external connections)

For All Examples Below it is assumed the Account name / folder name is: Floriwood

Calling a file contained at the root of the ftp folder

using a relative path to call an example image for file named CheckAvail.png residing in the root folder for FTP Account Floriwood use the path:

WebTemplates/Floriwood/CheckAvail.png

Full URL:

http://www.floriwood.com/WebTemplates/Floriwood/CheckAvail.png

The above file could be called from the homepage or any custom web page created in Ciirus would use the same path
