Refund a payment

You can process a refund to the guest directly in CiiRUS. Refunds can be processed back to the guest's credit card if the original payment was also processed through CiiRUS.

Process a refund

From the payment screen, use the filters at the top to locate the applicable transaction.

Click on the transaction so it's highlighted in red and select the "Refund" button:

From the popup window, enter the amount you'd like to refund and check the box to send an email notification of the refund to either the guest or owner.

An approved or declined message will appear. If approved, the refund will automatically apply to the reservation or to the owners account.

The refund policy for credit card payments may vary depending on your merchant account. Some merchant accounts only allow refunds to be processed after 24 hours of the original payment. Most will not allow refunds after 90 days. If a refund is required after 90 days, it will need to be processed through your merchant portal rather than in CiiRUS.
