What is Rental Exchange?

CiiRUS customers have exclusive access to Rental Exchange, a live marketplace where you can claim un-allocated wholesale reservations for your homes.

Historically, wholesale relationships were exclusively held by larger individual management companies. We’re helping change this through our wholesale distribution platform, HomeBeds, so all CiiRUS customers can share in a high volume of wholesale reservations, without giving away your whole calendar or signing exclusive contracts.

With Rental Exchange, simply pick-and-click to score live, confirmed reservations from the marketplace. HomeBeds adds new bookings into the system every day with specific rates and criteria. The system shows which of your homes are available and meet the criteria required to claim the booking. Within clicks, the reservation and all necessary details are added to the calendar.

New bookings are uploaded multiple times daily. There is no contract required, and the reservations will be in high demand; we recommend looking frequently to have the best opportunity. Don't be discouraged if you arrive to an empty marketplace, as new bookings go quickly.

How to claim a reservation on Rental Exchange

Navigate to Connections > Inventory Share > Rental Exchange

The grid shows reservations that have been booked and confirmed by our wholesale partners, along with the supplier, rate, and additional information about the criteria to accept the reservation.

To request a reservation, select the 'Exchange' icon in the left-most column of the given reservation.

The pop-up will show listings in the account that match the criteria for the selected reservation.

Toggle "Show only available properties" to remove listings from the table that are not available for the required dates.

To request the reservation, click the Calendar icon.

The pop-up summarizes the requested reservation and displays the reservations Terms & Conditions from the supplier.

Agree to the Terms & Conditions and click "Confirm" to request the reservation.

The supplier will confirm or deny the reservation request within 24 hours, and it will automatically appear in the calendar.

How to configure homes for Rental Exchange (if homes do not appear when following above steps)

If homes that should meet the criteria for Rental Exchange do not appear when attempting to claim a reservation, it may be that some required settings have not been met in CiiRUS.

Firstly, navigate to Owners & Listings > Listings > Advanced Unit Setup. Ensure that values have been defined for the following fields:

  • Bedrooms

  • Bathrooms

  • Sleeps

  • Pool

  • Spa

  • Games

  • Class

If any required fields do not appear, locate and enable them using the field chooser:

Next, ensure that location data is displayed by turning on the "Location" filter:

Scroll in the table to find the Location fields, and ensure that a Community is specified. If the field is missing, be sure to check the field chooser as explained above.

If after completing these steps, homes that meet requirements are still not appearing as they should in Rental Exchange, please contact the CiiRUS Help Center.
