Establishing the Connection
In the same browser as your CiiRUS One account, open and log into your QuickBooks Online account
In CiiRUS One, go to Accounting > QuickBooks > Settings > Click 'Connect to QuickBooks'
Once you are connected, a pop up message will appear advising the connection is established
QuickBooks Online Settings
Specify the Accounting Start Date - Transactions occurring before the chosen date will not synchronize.
Create and sync QuickBooks Items by checking the following items. This step only requires completion once before utilizing the QuickBooks Module.
For the "Customer called Customer", all guest deposits will be attributed to this customer.
'Vendor called Owner' if you opt to export owner payments to a unified QuickBooks vendor.
Within QuickBooks, set up accounts like Advance Deposit, Security Deposit, and Payments from Owner Accounts. These are employed when transferring guest and owner payments. The advance deposit and security deposit accounts will automatically be configured as 'Long Term Liability' accounts in QuickBooks, while the Payment from Owner account will appear as an 'Income' account.
Define Payment Types such as Card, Wire, and Other for exporting guest payments.
Once all options are selected, click on "Create."
A green confirmation pop-up will appear, indicating that the items have been successfully established.
Specify QuickBooks Bank Account - All bank accounts set up in your QuickBooks account will be visible in the drop-down menu. Before initiating an export to QuickBooks, you must designate the relevant bank account where the transactions will be exported.
Export Owner Payments - There are two options for exporting owner payments.
Option One - 'To single QB Vendor': Any type of owner payment will be linked to a single QuickBooks Vendor. This designated QuickBooks Vendor will serve as the representative for all owners in your CiiRUS System.' When choosing this option, select the QuickBooks Vendor to export owner payments to.
Option Two - 'To matching QB Vendor': Any type of owner payment will be associated with the corresponding owner in QuickBooks.
Match Owner Transaction Types to QuickBooks - Before exporting to QuickBooks, each owner transaction type in CiiRUS must be linked to a corresponding QuickBooks item. Click the 'Configure' button to establish these mappings.
In the pop up window, choose a corresponding QuickBooks item to assign to. You can also export your categories as QuickBooks items by selecting the desired categories and then clicking 'Export to QB'. After completing, click Save on the lower right of the window.

Now that you've finished the initial settings, there are a few final steps to ensure that transactions sync successfully.

Mapping the Owners
Go to Owners & Listings > Owner Profiles
On a per owner basis, select the menu icon and click 'Export to QuickBooks'
Once finished, a green pop-up will confirm the successful export of the owner.
Mapping the Contacts and Vendors
Go to Accounting > QuickBooks > Contact and Vendors
Select which Contacts to export to QuickBooks
Click 'Export to QuickBooks'
After completing, the system will automatically map the CiiRUS contact to the new QuickBooks Vendor.
If the vendors are already set up in QuickBooks but not in CiiRUS, you can import them into CiiRUS to avoid duplicating entries.
To do so, click 'Import from QuickBooks' and select which vendors you would like to import to your CiiRUS system.
Exporting Transactions
Now that the setup and mapping are complete, you can begin exporting transactions. Before proceeding with the export, ensure that you have selected the correct QuickBooks bank account."

Export Deposits
Deposits consist of payments from both your guests and owners.
Go to Accounting > QuickBooks > Export Deposits
Use the filters to apply the correct date range
Select which payments to export
Click 'Process'
Specify the date for when the transaction should appear in QuickBooks.
Once finished, a green pop-up will confirm the successful export of deposit(s).
Export Checks / Bills
Checks / Bills consist of payments to both your vendors and owners.
Go to Accounting > QuickBooks > Export Checks / Bills
Select which payments to export
Click 'Export'
Once finished, a green pop-up will confirm the successful export of payments.
How Deposits and Payments Appear in QuickBooks
Open your QuickBooks Dashboard > Click 'Bank Accounts'
Select the relevant Bank Account
You will notice the exported items in the Bank Register
