Grids are a fundamental component of CiiRUS One. Grids are a neat and convenient way to view, sort, search, and enter data.
Benefits of using grids in CiiRUS One:
Easy viewing: Grids provide a clear and concise view of data, making it easy to scan and find the information you need.
Sorting and filtering: Grids allow you to sort and filter data by any column, making it easy to find specific information.
Searching: Grids also support search functionality, so you can quickly find the data you're looking for.
Data entry: Grids can also be used to enter data, making it easy to add new records or update existing ones. You can also export most grids to Excel from the system.
Grid components
Key components of a grid in CiiRUS One:
Rows: Rows list data associated with a particular record horizontally (from left to right). A record is a set of data associated with a particular person, place, item, or point in time. For example, a person's name, departure and arrival dates, and location would be considered a record or part of a record for a particular reservation.
Columns: Columns list data of a specific category vertically (from top to bottom). At the top of each column is the column title or category. Columns can be added, removed, reordered, and resized.
Scroll Bar: The scroll bar allows you to browse up and down the rows in the grid. Some grids will have a scroll bar at the bottom that will let you scroll across the columns.
Data Fields: Data fields are the individual cells that hold a single piece of data, such as a date or a first name.
Search Filters: Search filters are blank spaces found at the top of the columns.
