Instead of creating a separate rate set for each channel, use the multiplication factor feature to mark up your rates for a single rate set across the board. For example, your general pricing may be the lowest rate you need to charge, but you may need to increase your rates on Airbnb to cover Airbnb's commission fees. You can simply mark up the rates for Airbnb for the same rate set. The multiplication factor is applied only to the base rental rate before the agent multiplier is applied.
How to apply the multiplication factor
Each channel connection has a setting to apply a multiplication factor to mark up your rates. This setting is located in the unit grid on the channel or connection setup page.
Let's use Airbnb as an example. To mark up the rates for Airbnb, follow these steps:
Go to Connections > Channel Manager.
Select Airbnb (or the desired channel).
Scroll to the right and locate the Rate Set and Multiplication Factor columns.
Specify the rate set, and in the Multiplication Factor column for the desired unit, enter the percentage to mark up the rate by.
Click the "Save" icon.
For example:
$100 X 1.00 = $100
$100 X 1.03 = $103
$100 X 1.50 = $150
$100 X 10.00 = $1000
Values of 0 or less are not permitted.
To apply a discount, enter a number less than 1. For example:
$100 X 0.85 = $85
