Turning off website instant book

Want to control who books your listings? You can disable instant bookings on your website and set your listings to inquiry only. This means that guests can still see the available listings for their dates and get a quote, but they'll need to submit an inquiry form before they can book. You'll be notified of the inquiry and then decide whether to create the booking.

There's two options regarding turning off instant bookings:

  1. Turn off instant book for your website and all connected channels.

  2. Turn off instant book for your website only.

Turn off instant book for your website & channels

To turn off instant book, go to:

  1. Owners & Listings

  2. Listings

  3. Listing Assistant

From the Listing Assistant, navigate to "Online Reservation Settings" and disable the "Allow Online Reservations" setting:

Please keep in mind, disabling this setting will prevent instant bookings on your website and connected channels.

Turn off instant book for your website only

Do you want to turn off instant bookings on your website only? If so, do not disable the "Allow Online Reservation" settings shown in the screenshot above. This will also affect the channels.

Instead, you can contact the website team by submitting a ticket via the CiiRUS Help Center. Simply let us know that you want to turn off instant bookings on your website only, and we will make the changes in the back-end code. There is no need for you to do anything else!

How does it work on my website?

When a guest generates a quote on your website, they will see an "Inquire Now" button instead of a "Book Now" button. This will redirect them to a contact form where they can provide more information about their booking request. The guest's inquiry will then be sent to your CiiRUS Unified Inbox, where you can review it and create a booking if you'd like.

When a guest inquires about your listing, they'll be added as a lead in your system. This means that you can easily view their contact information and booking preferences. You can also create a booking directly from their guest profile, which will save you time.
