What are the gateways fees?
Updated over 4 months ago

The gateway fee is a charge for accessing our channels that is calculated by the total collected from the guest as logged in our systems. We calculate the value of our channel management fee by taking the total amount paid by the guest for reservations in the period and multiplying it by .01. The gateway fee is automatically charged on any booking placed within a category that has an API connection available, even if the booking is manually entered.

Given that the software facilitates the storage and workflow of all transactions with the guests, anything that the guest pays for and is logged against the total collected for that reservation is susceptible to the fee.

We do understand that there may be cases where this fee may not be correctly calculated, for example in a booking where fees were added or removed but the change was not properly recorded in the system. For this reason, our clients can request a review of charges within 30 days of the invoice.

Gateways fees are chargeable on the arrival date and are billed for the prior month on the 1st. There is a $10 minimum charge. The gateway fee is automatically charged on any booking placed within a category that has an API connection available, even if the booking is manually entered.
