Sometimes unexpected issues arise during a guest’s stay, such as a plumbing problem or major maintenance concern, that require moving the guest to a different property mid-reservation.
The Split Booking feature in CiiRUS helps you manage these situations easily while maintaining proper accounting for each property's owner.
This tool allows you to:
Split a current or future reservation into two parts
Keep the original dates and charges in place
Move the guest to another unit for the remainder of their stay
Accurately allocate funds between different property owners
How to Split a Booking in CiiRUS
Open the Reservation
Navigate to the Reservations Manager or Reservations List.
Locate and open the reservation you wish to split.
Go to Reservation Actions
With the reservation open, click on Reservation Actions in the bottom left corner.
Select Split Reservation from the dropdown.
Choose the Split Date
You’ll see the guest name, booking ID, arrival and departure dates, and the current unit.
Specify the date when the guest will need to be moved. For example, if they’re checking in on May 18 and need to move on May 22, enter May 22 as the Date To Split.
(Optional) Copy Cleaning Fee
If you want to carry the cleaning fee over to the second booking, check the box to copy the fee.
Confirm and Split
Review the information and click Process.
The system will confirm that a new reservation has been created for the second half of the stay with a new reservation ID.
Move the New Booking to a New Property
Additional Notes:
Split Booking only works for future and current reservations, not past bookings.
The original booking retains its reservation ID and history.
This tool is especially useful for keeping accounting clear when multiple property owners are involved.
You can still manage guest communications, charges, and cleaning services separately for each segment.
