Add a new owner
Updated over a week ago

In CiiRUS, every unit must be associated with a homeowner. This means that you can't add a unit without first adding the homeowner. Even if a homeowner doesn't have any active inventory, it's important to have their record in the system to preserve financials and reports in the event of an audit.

Adding a new owner is easy. We recommend adding the owner at the same time as adding the new unit. This way, you can use the Listing Assistant to help you with the process. Alternatively, you can add the owner first, and then map the unit to the corresponding owner later.

Using the Listing Assistant

To add a new owner and unit at the same time, you can use the "Listing Assistant."

  1. Owners & Listings

  2. Listings

  3. Listing Assistant

Once in the Listing Assistant, follow these simple steps to add the new owner and listing.

  1. Click "Add New Listing"

  2. Specify to create a new owner

  3. Fill in all relevant owner details

Don't worry, you can always update the owner's contact details or owner portal access later. However, it is required to enter a username and password for the owner's portal when creating the new owner. We recommend typing the password in the notes field in case you forget it later on.

You can now follow the Listing Assistant to configure the unit to it's fullest extent! Make sure the selected unit in the drop-down menu at the top is the one you want to edit.

What if I don't want to add a new unit, yet?

No problem! You can still add a new owner without having to add the unit.

To add a new owner, follow these steps:

  1. Owners & Listings

  2. Owner Profiles

  3. Click the "Add+" icon

From the pop-up window, enter the owner's details and then click the "Save" button.

When you add the new unit from the Listing Assistant at a later time, simply select to use an existing owner and choose the owner from the dropdown:
