Vendor service types are assigned to each contact to tell the system how to treat the contact.
For example, if you add a cleaner, you would specify cleaning as the service type. This would tell the system that the contact is a cleaner and can be assigned to cleans in the housekeeping module. If the contact is an electricity company that you pay owner bills for, you would specify utilities as service type 1 and electricity as service type 2.
Where to go
To assign the vendor service type, from the top navigation menu, click the dotted icon to open the Quick Actions menu and select "View/Add Contact."
Service types
There are two service types to assign to a contact:
Service type 1: This is a general type of service, such as utilities or services that summarize the type of vendor.
Service type 2: This is where you specify the specific type of service. For example, if service type 1 is utilities, service type 2 could be gas, electric, or water.
Being as specific as possible is helpful when creating bills for your owners or processing recurring transactions, such as monthly pest control or lawn care.
Note that some contacts may have the same service type for both, such as cleaning, where there is no subtype.
